Founded in 2010 and based in Mexico City, Auténtico Alacrán, whose name means "authentic scorpion" in Spanish, introduced its Cristal Tequila in 2015. This añejo is crafted from blue weber agave that is 7 to 10 years old and harvested in the Los Altos (Highland) area of Jalisco. After a 14-month maturation period in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon, the spirit undergoes a filtration process rendering it clear.

Oh, this is incredibly good. Wonderful fruit and spices just flow. This is a perfect pour for someone who doesn't typically enjoy tequila but is open to trying. It will make anyone love tequila. Enjoyed this at work with a friend.
The finest clear Añejo spirit globally, by a considerable margin, exceptionally smooth with a luxurious taste. I enjoy mine with abundant ice in an elegant glass.
I keep the bottle chilled in the freezer and enjoy it neat. It's remarkably smooth with a finish reminiscent of campfire marshmallows.
