Casa San Matías, one of Mexico's oldest distilleries, created this "extra añejo" (though classified as standard añejo) from the Pueblo Viejo Orgullo line to honor 120 years of tequila production. The agave, grown in Los Altos, Jalisco, is harvested between 7 and 10 years of age. The spirit matures for 24 months in a mix of American and French oak barrels.

A rich agave spirit from distillery Nom 1103 in the Highlands region of Los Altos, Mexico. It begins with an aromatic profile of roasted agave, wood, and spice. Its maturation adds notes of oak, vanilla, and agave syrup, culminating in a sweet and creamy finish of medium length, with hints of butterscotch and toffee. Sampled July 2023.
Really smooth, with excellent brown sugar and subtle barrel characteristics.
