About this bottle

Made from 100% blue Weber agave cultivated in Los Valles de Jalisco, this tequila is cooked in an autoclave, fermented in open air steel tanks without fibers, and twice distilled in stainless pot stills with copper coils. It rests for four to six months in ex-bourbon barrels and contains no additives.

Devonte Wing 4.5

Served neat. The aroma is of sweet, cooked agave, a little oak, honey, and vanilla. It also has some tropical fruit like grilled pineapple and earthiness. The taste is sweet agave, herbal (anise), tropical fruits, floral, black pepper, vanilla, and minerals. The finish is floral and sweet, balanced by some spice and oak tannins. Very tasty and distinctive. The wood notes are subtle and enhance, rather than overpower, the blanco flavors. One of the best in this price category and superior to many pricier bottles.

I visited my local shop for a bottle of the Benriach 13 yr Single cask, which was my favorite and won the Benriach CS tasting. I thought it was the mystery $220USD whisky but no, it was the $100 Benriach PX. Great find! Anyway, this one and its siblings were available for a tasting when I visited. This is aged in JD barrels and has a pleasant sweetness. It's worth purchasing.

Norah Collazo 4.3

Neat. Nose is beautiful. A pleasant sweetness combined with a mild brininess. Small hints of tropical fruits. Taste is agave sweet, black pepper, vanilla, overall floral and sweet, balanced with some spice. Very delicious and unique.

Annika Medley 4.3

Quite light and easygoing, with discernible smoke. Yet, it drinks very smoothly, more like a smoky bourbon or scotch than a typical tequila.

Archer Gallardo 4.3

Sweet, light, champagne taste, with a Werther's Original candy flavor, then melts into a bitter orange or grapefruit finish.

Brooklyn Mayo 3.5

Strong stuff. Don't breathe it in – it stings the eyes. And what a pleasant aroma, like tequila.
