Adolfo Pascual 2.5

A complicated Agave Spirit from Cassa Don Roberto [NOM1437] in Jalisco, Mexico. It spends at least 2 months in oak before being moved to 220L used French Chardonnay Barrels for more aging prior to bottling at 40% ABV. It has an aromatic beginning with hints of cooked agave, wood, & spice; while a complex progression adds notes of oak & vanilla; culminating in a lengthy conclusion. July 2023 / March 2025

Lyric Hager 3.5

The aroma is heavy with oak, plus vanilla, Chardonnay barrel notes, pepper, pear, a hint of smoke, and agave. On the tongue, it's quite peppery and slightly sweet with vanilla, agave, a touch of dry tart wine, oak, and pear. A lingering spicy finish. Overall, a bit rough, but acceptable.

So smooth. I was hesitant to spend $45 on it, but I would definitely do it again and again. It doesn't even taste like alcohol. It just tastes like agave and oak. Very good. Better than Don Julio Añejo.

Charity Brenner 4.3

Silky and mellow, with a fantastic taste.
