About this bottle

Tequila 1921, formerly made with traditional methods like tahona, copper pot stills, hand-blown bottles, and wax seals, is now produced more automatically at Destilaria Morales under NOM 1535. While the agave is still sourced from the Jalisco highlands, the tequila is now twice distilled in stainless steel with copper coils, using automated shredding and factory bottling. The añejo expression is aged for 12 months in American oak.

Dayton Scanlon

A pale, light-bodied añejo. The aroma is a pleasant, mellowed agave. The taste is smooth and effortless, with a subtle oak presence. It's agreeable but doesn't offer much to ponder, which is fine since I'm spending my time downloading FFXIV at a glacial pace. I guess it balances out my self-inflicted suffering. An excellent starting point for those new to or hesitant about drinking tequila straight. As a side note, the bottle is attractive, sturdy glass with a wax seal. Very appealing.

Carol Clark 3.5

Sampled at a local bar upon the bartender's suggestion. Citrus and floral notes on the nose, perhaps with a hint of pineapple. The taste is predominantly pineapple, finishing with a crisp sensation.

Teddy Kohler 5.0

An excellent tequila for sipping neat. Offers great roasted agave flavors, followed by brown sugar and raisin notes, reminiscent of butter tarts! This would be ideal for the winter or Christmas season.

Emanuel Fuller 3.8

It tastes more like a reposado. It's good, but not outstanding.

Josiah Becker 4.0

Incredibly mellow
