Located this at a large liquor store in Spokane. The nose has prominent juniper and light lavender, with some citrus. The palate features juniper, pine, and deep earthy spices like coriander and cardamom. It feels soft, smooth, and coating in the mouth. The finish is long with hints of pepper, mint, and eucalyptus. I was initially doubtful about this Washington state gin until I saw the glowing review on a gin website, prompting my purchase. I'm pleased I did; it warrants the praise. It offers a classic London Dry profile, full-bodied, clean, and suitable for sipping neat. My preferred gins include Plymouth, Sipsmith, Fords, and St. George's Terroir – this stands comfortably alongside them. Temple Distilling, from Lynnwood, WA, is bottled at 45% ABV. It received a Gold Medal at the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It cost $24 (plus over $5 in WA state liquor tax). It was well worth the price. They also produce a higher proof version that I plan to try on a future visit. Until then, cheers!
