Castle & Key Roots of Ruin Dry Gin uses the distillery's rye whiskey mash bill as its foundation, consisting of 63% rye, 20% malted barley, and 17% yellow corn. The botanicals incorporated are chamomile, ginger, rosemary, lemon verbena, licorice root, angelica root, coriander, and juniper. It is bottled at 53% ABV. This gin now has updated branding and a new name, but it remains the same product as Restoration Gin.

To be fair, I don't typically drink gin. However, I sampled this at the distillery and was incredibly impressed by its smooth drinkability, the amazing depth and vibrancy of the botanicals, and I enjoyed every bit of it.
Better than average and smooth. Would make a fine mixer. Less floral than the autumn 2019 gin...so I prefer this one.
A well-balanced gin. If you ever tour the distillery, consider trying the Strawberry Summer Smash made with Roots of Ruin.
