Locating this bottle locally was a challenge, but I was fortunate to find one. I'm pleased with the purchase. The aroma presents a potent agave character, accompanied by citrus and some herbaceous notes. A subtle alcohol scent is detectable if you inhale deeply, but it fades quickly. The taste features more of the herbal, citrus, and cooked agave flavors, with a touch of cinnamon. The aftertaste is predominantly herbal and grassy. The warmth is brief or nonexistent, making it enjoyable to drink. This is uncommon for many tequilas. My partner, a devoted Patron consumer, thoroughly enjoyed this tequila this evening, whether sipped neat or in a margarita. It's quite intricate for a blanco, smooth, made with tahona, and priced around $35 a bottle; it's hard not to appreciate it.

About this bottle
Suerte Tequila is made by Master Distiller Pedro Hernandez Barba, employing traditional techniques. These include slow-cooking the piñas for 56 hours in a brick oven (horno) and crushing the baked agave with a stone wheel (tahona). The Suerte Blanco is allowed to rest in stainless steel tanks for two months prior to bottling.

Drinking it neat. The aroma has a bit of heat, clear notes of agave, grass, herbs (like cilantro?), citrus (lime), and some earthy mineral undertones. The taste has a moderate body, is mildly sweet, with cooked agave, fruitiness, and very herbal flavors (anise, cilantro, mint). A little black pepper and alcohol heat give it a nice bite. The finish is medium long, starting sweet and becoming tart. Overall, a good drink. I appreciate the traditional methods and the unusual flavor profile. It's like a richer, agave-forward gin, but without the juniper. The price is good, and I'll keep a bottle on hand once this one is finished.
This is a budget-friendly tequila that could be a hit with people who enjoy the reposado expressions from brands like Clase Azul or Casamigos, similar to my preference. I would purchase it again. It's smooth and offers some sweetness, especially for a blanco.
This tasting is from my personal preference. I can absolutely see others enjoying this tequila. It just doesn't suit my taste. Overly vegetal and earthy. It lacks the sweet agave notes I prefer.
Smells earthy, starts mild in the middle, and finishes hot and bitter, reminding me of mushrooms.
A vegetal flavor, quite pleasant.
