About this bottle
Smith's Angaston 8 Year revives a whisky originally sold by Samuel Smith & Son between the 1950s and 1970s, known as "Smith’s Imperial Vat Whisky." The Smith family, originating from South Australia's Barossa Valley, commenced distilling in 1931. This single malt, created as an experimental test of the old equipment and recipe, was produced in 1998 using the original 1931 pot still.
