Nose: maple, honey, maraschino, baking spice, honeysuckle. A lot to take in! Taste: Beginning is like an Aberlour or Dalmore. Wine cask comes through toward the end. Tastes a little younger but bold, eager.
Nose: Smells like bourbon – caramel and vanilla. Palate: Caramel, baking spice, plum. Finish: Dry and tannic. It has more depth than their other standard offerings and is very tasty.
The influence of wine from the barrel is certainly present, but afterwards, you get honey and caramel with some spice and floral notes, and just a tiny hint of oak.
Vanilla, dried apple, strawberry, oak spice, honey - the nose has too many elements. However, it's well-balanced! 21, 21, 20, 21 = 83
