About this bottle

This South Carolina distillery emphasizes local sourcing by utilizing soft red winter wheat grown in its vicinity for its single cask whiskey. Six & Twenty produces a white whiskey named “Virgin Wheat," which is subsequently aged in new charred oak barrels to become the “Old Money.”

I enjoy reading others' tasting notes for spirits I appreciate. It truly offers a different perspective on what I'm experiencing, especially when my palate differs. I love this whiskey. It's my go-to for daily drinking, so to speak. Firstly, it has a very long-lasting taste. Secondly, it's very easy to drink, with a low intensity. It has the full 'ease' of a wheat whiskey. The palate is wonderfully balanced (from start to finish). Whenever I pour myself a glass and settle in to watch TV, my wife invariably finishes half of it. Quite amusing.

Diamond Kraft 3.3

Strong cinnamon at first, followed by an oaky spice, and then finishes with vanilla ice cream notes. Smooth and pleasant to drink. Not a lot of complexity, and the flavor vanishes rather quickly. Some vanilla notes lingered at the end.

Deann Hurley 4.3

Nose: A blend of baking spices, like cinnamon and nutmeg. Freshly baked bread. A hint of cherry. Taste: All the aromas present. A whisper of barrel spice. A touch of vanilla. Finish: Dry. A fleeting presence.

Keaton Bagwell 3.5

Very light. I didn't detect any spice as some earlier reviews suggested. It seems like a very young bourbon and is easy to drink. Suitable for everyone. Good for a complimentary tasting.

Alyssa Self 3.0

It was acceptable; I don't recall it being particularly spicy or resembling Fireball.

Essie Boehm 2.5

Smells like green jolly ranchers, tastes watery, and has a very brief finish.
