About this bottle

WhistlePig's The Juggernaut is the eleventh expression in The Boss Hog series, inspired by the Indian beverage Thandai, which consists of nuts and spices. The rye, aged in new American oak barrels, undergoes further maturation in barrels that previously held a combination of aged rye, saffron, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, fennel, poppy, and black peppercorn. These are single barrel offerings, with proofs ranging from 103.8 to 105.2. Availability begins October 15, 2024, in select markets and through the brand's website, priced at $599.99 MSRP.

This is possibly one of my favorite Boss Hog expressions. The spice is exquisite and wonderfully balanced on the palate. If you dislike cinnamon or cardamom, you likely won't appreciate this. It's not subtle, and yes, I agree with the previous reviewer that it drinks like a cocktail. If you're a fan of chai tea, this will be a favorite. I was considering stopping my Boss Hog collection after bottle X, but I'm so pleased I continued and bought The Juggernaut.
