The taste is superb, buttery smooth at the beginning with the distinctive scotch flavor and a warm, neutral taste that transforms into something like high-quality leather, then suddenly becomes rich scotch, grain, spicy, Japanese wood-aged whiskey, and finally a wonderful plum of alcoholic smoke that pleasantly fills you as it goes down the back of your throat and spreads across your taste buds to the sides.
