About this bottle

Koch el de Mezcal was established to honor and maintain traditional Oaxacan culture and to help revive the declining practice of mezcal production. By uniting true artisanal mezcal producers under the Koch brand, they have expanded their reach, injected funds into communities, and celebrated this historically significant spirit. This bottling uses 100% agave de Lumbre, is prepared using traditional methods with an earthen pit for cooking the agave and a tahona for crushing, and is double-distilled in a copper still by mezcalero Pedro Hernández in San Baltazar Guelavila, Oaxaca.

Not what I anticipated; it's earthy but has a spiciness like the tequilana agave.
