Honestly, this one is somewhat unremarkable. Nothing is wrong with it, but I don't detect the smoke or other intriguing darker notes I prefer in an añejo. Instead, it feels quite smooth and almost warm, but without much distinction. I do sip on this occasionally, but it's not so special that I wouldn't consider mixing it.

Not bad, suitable for my VERY TRADITIONAL Margaritas (I incorporate freshly squeezed orange juice instead of Sweet and Sour Mix or sugar). It has a pleasant agave flavor, but the aroma is somewhat reminiscent of rubbing alcohol. Lacks complexity, but superior to the younger Hornitos.
The aroma presents fruity, minty, vanilla, vegetal, and peppery notes. It tastes quite sweet, with a hint of mint and more prominent fruity and vanilla flavors, followed by caramel. Pepper appears later in the taste.
Añejo dominant, excessively so, and so sweet it appears artificial (likely diffuser-produced). Very smooth, as expected for an añejo. This would be excellent in cocktails.
I found this to be a good, budget-friendly Anejo. It's very sweet, almost like candy.
This isn't quite up to par with the Black Barrel, but considering the cost for an añejo, it's a decent drink.
