About this bottle

Herencia, meaning “heritage,” truly represents the history of premium tequila and, in many respects, Mexico's culinary past. It is produced using traditional methods for cultivation and distillation, yet incorporates European/American influences by giving this tequila a notable wood character.

Amari Schaefer 4.3

Drank it straight. The aroma is delightful, featuring notes of burnt sugar, vanilla, cocoa butter, green herbs, a touch of oak, and ethanol for balance. The taste reveals sweet agave, caramel, burnt sugar, milk chocolate, vanilla, anise, candied orange peel, and pepper. The oak and smoke presence is minimal. The finish is effortless and pleasing, with vanilla, saccharine, and a balance of lightly bitter grassy herbs. Overall, a well-rounded, attractive sipper. It lacks the intensity of many additive-laden anejos, yet offers similar dessert-like flavors while allowing for more subtle complexity. Not recommended for mixing as the flavors would be lost. Fairly priced.

Meredith Hodge 3.8

Visually, it resembles a clear, pale white tea. The aroma is fragrant and spicy, with hints of floral notes, oak, and herbs. There's also a touch of caramel present. The flavors mirror the aroma, leaning towards the sweeter side and are exceptionally smooth. It might be slightly thin. Best suited for sipping rather than mixing. Overall, very good.

Need another taste to confirm its quality... The nose has notes of cotton candy and caramel popcorn, a smooth, quick finish, with the wood character carrying through and lingering.

Alphonse Holguin 3.3

Pleasant, but the flavor intensity and color are very pale. Some chocolate and butter notes, with more citrus on the nose.
