About this bottle

Miguel Barceló developed this celebratory blend, which matures for a decade in former American bourbon casks. It is then transferred to Chateau D’Yquem barrels for an additional two years of aging. The company reserves a modest quantity of this product for global distribution each year.

Britney Rasmussen 3.5

An intense, aged rum from the Dominican Republic, this is a limited release of Ron Imperial Premium Blend. Its aromatic introduction features notes of sugarcane, wood, fruits, nuts, herbs & spices; while a rich & full-bodied middle adds notes of strawberries, cherries, dark chocolate, raisins & dried apricot; leading to a long & intricate conclusion. This is the kind of rum you'd battle through a horde of velociraptors to reach the distillery for. They'd guard it fiercely, so don't shy away from taking them down to savor this elixir. Abundant brown sugar, a touch of oak, and a sweet finish that fades appropriately without lingering too long.

Diane Matlock 5.0

Rated 100 points. This rum is a true masterpiece. The 50-year anniversary edition boasts an uncommon profile, featuring sage, thyme, and mint, with sweeter notes of persimmon in the background. It's a work of art.

Stevie Cuellar 5.0

Outstanding. Features notes of vanilla, caramel, toffee, and raisins. It has a potent aroma and is very mellow. I wish Brugal Siglo de Oro were available in the US.

Braylon Adame 3.5

If you enjoy Barceló, this is definitely the top one; you need to let it rest in the glass for a while so its flavors emerge.

Kennith Jaimes 4.3

A highly complex rum with notes of tobacco, dried and roasted fruits, and some coffee undertones. It leaves a prolonged aftertaste.
