Ron Abuelo XV Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish

The scent is quite pleasant. Floral notes. Since I haven't experienced sherry before, I can only speculate based on my impressions of the other two beverages that this is the sherry I'm tasting, as I can't pinpoint the exact notes. Nevertheless, I feel the sherry's flavor is a bit too dominant over the rum, hence my slightly lower score. Out of the three, the Tawny Port is my preferred choice. It mixes exceptionally well with soda! If you have more spending money than I do, feel free to use this in your everyday rum and coke, haha. Score based on sipping it neat.

The best of the Abuelo line I've tried. The sherry cask adds a definite advantage compared to the brand's lower ranges. It has a very pastry-like finish in the mouth, reminiscent of some Jamaican spirits. The only drawback is the rather high price; less expensive alternatives exist. I still recommend it if you have the means.

Out of the three rums in this lineup, this is the one I liked best, with the Tawny Port coming in second. It has a pleasant, rich taste.
