It's complex and distinctive. Not what I anticipated from a rum, but that's not necessarily a negative. Preconceived notions can be limiting. Approach with no expectations and an openness to everything. That's the ideal way to approach life. So, prior to experiencing this rum, my life was flawed, or at least lived imperfectly. I had forgotten this guiding principle. Now, however, my perspective has shifted, and I feel liberated. I'm not suggesting you'll have the identical experience; in fact, it's unlikely. You'll probably just discover and develop a strong liking for a distinctive rum. Enlightenment manifests in various ways. Today, mine arrived in this attractive small bottle. Perhaps yours will come in the form of a rambling, meandering rum review. Or maybe you'll narrowly escape a near-fatal accident. Enlightenment takes many forms.

Different from other Rums I've tasted before. On the nose, it has a scent that reminds me a bit of Whiskey. Or maybe I imagined it. Very pleasant to the smell, complex on the palate. Good.
The aroma has notes of chocolate, floral, and grass, which carry over to the palate, finishing dry. The taste is less sweet and quite different from rum made with molasses.
Nose: vanilla, baking spices, wood Palate: silky, initially vanilla sweet, a bit harsh toward the end Finish: brandy-like, medium long, wood
Really strong. Not nearly as mellow as other spirits at this cost.
Citrus, sweet vanilla notes
