This is the fifth drink I've tried tonight. The bottle is rated 4 out of 5. It has a distinct, vibrant flavor profile. It doesn't resemble rum. There's a slight radish taste on the finish, accompanied by a warming sensation. The alcohol in the aroma is sharp. I'm uncertain how to categorize this. My confidence in the score is low; I'm considering a rating between 2.25 and 2.75.

About this bottle
Arcane, an agricole-style rhum, adopts a distinctive approach to production. While using the "rum" spelling, the fresh cane juice distillate is initially processed on Mauritius, near its source. It is then transported to Cognac for further distillation in small alembic stills. This rum undergoes a minimum of 12 years of aging in French oak through a solera system.

An inviting and complex aroma with notes of fruit candy, strawberry, and ripe banana. The taste is not as impressive as the smell, but it is full-bodied and not overpowering. The aftertaste is smooth and nearly dry, with minimal sweetness. A fine choice for sipping.
Pleasant and mellow! Tastes like banana candies with hints of cocoa, citrus peel, and some unlisted botanicals! Intriguing. Drank it straight. Adding ice might diminish its pleasing texture.
Top-tier rhum agricole. Much more fruity/herbal than standard rum and not spicy. Distinctive, but I wouldn't repurchase it... Nope.
Banana and cocoa notes, with several flavors present in this rum. It's not excessively sweet compared to others, making it an intriguing choice!
Sweet, with some intriguing but artificial fruit flavors. Best enjoyed in a mixed drink.
