Rémy Martin Tercet, like most offerings from Rémy Martin, is a Fine Champagne cognac, meaning its grapes originate from both the Grande and Petite Champagne regions of Cognac, with at least 50% from Grande Champagne. The name Tercet reflects the collaboration of three experts in its creation: Master Distiller Jean-Marie Bernard, winemaker Francis Nadeau, and Cellar Master Baptiste Loiseau, who identified the distinct fruit-forward eaux de vie during his training with the House of Rémy. Tercet is a permanent addition to the product line and is bottled at 42% ABV, the highest alcohol by volume among existing Rémy Martin blends.

Still honing my Cognac skills, so view these notes cautiously, as with all my reviews. This is quite pleasing. It doesn't quite open up like some other cognacs I've experienced, where they land on the palate as a singular note and expand significantly. This one arrives very gently with hints of sweetness and oak, then as it moves across my tongue, it leaves an essence of chocolate and caramel. It would serve as a good conversation starter, but it won't astound you.
