I've experienced mezcal frequently, but never at cask strength, around 52% ABV like this expression. It's a pechuga, indicating a raw turkey was suspended above the alcohol vapors during the distillation process. It likely rested for a year, which tempered the potent smoky notes common to many mezcals. This was remarkably smooth and delightful, not revealing its alcohol content. An excellent sipping mezcal, perfect with tajin and an orange wedge.
