This is not a Tequila; it's a wild artisanal agave mezcal. Of the three OAX varieties currently available, Tepeztate is my preferred. It's packed with flavor, and I'm enjoying every sip.

About this bottle
OAX Original Mezcales exclusively utilizes wild, single-origin agave, reflecting the brand's pursuit of beauty. This philosophy is also evident in the unique, artistic opaque ceramic bottle design. The Tepeztate bottling, featuring an agave variety that takes about 25 years to mature, is presented in a pink bottle with approximately 900 units available. The agave is slow-cooked with oak and mesquite, ground with a horse-drawn stone mill, and fermented with wild yeast prior to double distillation. Mezcalero Enrique Hernandez Zenea of San Luis Del Rio, Oaxaca, produced this batch.
