Nolan Kang 3.0

This whiskey, the color of dirty blonde, is made with Barley and Wheat. It's the aged version of their unaged Drumlish Poitín. AROMA: Sweet Vanilla, Caramel, New Leather. Young and spirited with a good amount of heat. NEAT: Vanilla, Leather, and Wood at the forefront, followed by a dark cocoa note. Not much heat on the finish, which leaves a tingly coating of Young Oak. SPLASH: Adding a dash of water or a large ice cube reduces this to a singular vanilla flavor. VERDICT: This is a quality spirit, but I agree with another reviewer, the Rúa is significantly better than this one. This might be the only time I ever type these words, but I actually prefer the unaged version, "Drumlish". I would be interested to see how a bit more time in the barrel would affect this one. Keep up the great work!

Plenty of vanilla. It seems more intricate than its age of less than one year would imply. Tasty and worth finding.

Marion Butterfield 4.5

Reminiscent of a young whiskey, though somewhat softened. Flavorful and pleasing.
