Note: this assessment is based on a sample, not a full bottle. Do you recall your college days, dating a different person almost every month? It cost very little back then to go on a date. Some of those past relationships are the ones you still think about, wondering what might have been. Or you simply ask yourself how you ever dated someone so wonderful. Well... this spirit isn't like those. This is the kind of spirit you'll soon forget. I can't even recall the nose or the taste. It has no character at all. It's completely lacking in body. (yes...we're now discussing the spirit, not my exes.). I would not purchase a bottle of this. Not even if it were as inexpensive as a simple meal.

About this bottle
Founded in 2011 by five friends from Dublin and Wicklow, Glendalough is recognized as Ireland's inaugural craft distillery. Their primary Poitín, a drink meaning "pot stilled whiskey" or the original Irish "water of life," is distilled from sugar beets and malted barley. It undergoes brief maturation in sherry casks. The label features St. Kevin, the 16th-century monk believed to have introduced pot-stilled whiskey to Ireland.
