About this bottle
The seventh bottling in the Cask Exploration Series, SYC:01 2013, is a single malt crafted from 100% Scottish barley, malted to 40 ppm. This expression was distilled in 2013 and initially aged in a mix of 75% first-fill and 25% second-fill ex-bourbon barrels. In 2018, the whisky was transferred into first-fill Syrah wine barrels originating from the Rhône region of France. Following a four-year maturation period, it underwent a final finishing in refill bourbon casks. The spirit is presented at 54.4% ABV, without any added coloring or chill-filtration. It became available in the UK in autumn 2024, with a US release planned for May 2025. The suggested retail price is $149.99.
