About this bottle
The 16th annual iteration of Bruichladdich's Octomore, a single malt known for its extremely high peat levels (80+ ppm), debuts in September 2025 with three expressions, followed by a distillery-exclusive bottling in November 2025. The 16.2 expression, like the 16.1, is crafted from 100% Scottish concerto barley, peated to 101.4 ppm, and aged for five years. Its initial maturation involves oloroso sherry and Bordeaux wine casks, followed by a finishing period in Madeira and Portuguese Moscatel wine casks. This non-chill filtered whiskey is bottled at 58.1% ABV, near cask strength, and will be available starting September 2, 2025, with a suggested retail price of $244.99.
