Aroma - white and black pepper, tomato, cooked agave, pronounced minerality, herbal and vegetal notes, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, yeast, subtle nuttiness, moderate alcohol sting. Taste - sweet cooked agave, rich vanilla, caramel, pepper, savory vegetal earthiness, nutmeg, mild citrus notes, yeast, clove, sugar syrup, mild to moderate alcohol bite, finishing medium length with syrupy vanilla, sweet cooked agave, and baking spice flavors. This is an intriguing spirit. Despite being purportedly additive-free, I detected strong vanilla and caramel notes that I wouldn't expect in a blanco. On the nose, I perceive a tomato character similar to Siete Leguas, but less acidic and sharp. The mouthfeel is also considerably thicker than most tequilas I've sampled. Overall, this is quite pleasant. It's likely a notch above Olmeca Altos and comparable to Siete Leguas for me. The price is a little high for the value, but not exorbitant.

Unlike any tequila I've encountered so far. Agave on the nose with tomato and basil (seriously, it smells like pizza sauce to me), along with pepper notes. Very herbal on the palate, with agave secondary and pepper not far behind. It reminds me of gin due to its herbal quality. The herbal flavors persist into the lingering finish, with just a touch of peppery notes. Highly interesting, it took me quite some time to identify the aromas and flavors. Overall, a good tequila that certainly holds its own considering the price. I would purchase it again. Now, I feel like getting a pizza.
The Dobel Maestro Dobel Diamante Tequila has a strong cooked and raw agave character. Its nose offers notes of citrus, tropical fruit, spearmint, and lilac. It's certainly got a lot of fruit and herbs. The taste is spicier and more mineral, giving it a slightly harsher quality. Some of the fruit and herb notes persist, with hints of pineapple and cooked agave, plus minty endings. This tequila has a smooth mouthfeel, but it's not something I would pick for sipping.
Initially, it has aromas of mint and citrus, with the citrus becoming more prominent after some aeration. Vegetal agave is on the palate, with a bit of mint and pepper on the finish. It offers similar notes to El Tesoro, but this one is somewhat cleaner. Quite unremarkable, but a perfectly functional blanco depending on the situation.
A balanced Tequila from NOM 1616, starting aromatically with earthy & vegetal notes; its bold character introduces citrus, agave, hints of apple skin, green bell pepper & sea salt; concluding with a medium-length, balanced finish. November 2019
A Tequila from NOM 1500, this spirit offers an aromatic beginning featuring earthy and vegetal scents. Its robust character presents citrus, agave, subtle apple skin, green bell pepper, and sea salt, culminating in a moderately long, well-rounded finish. November 2019
