About this bottle

Nikka presents two single malt releases commemorating the 100th wedding anniversary of founder Masataka Taketsuru and Rita, who wed in Glasgow in 1920. The couple later relocated to Japan, where Nikka was founded in 1934. Early in the distillery's history, apple products were crucial for maintaining operations while waiting for whisky to mature. This no-age-statement single malt, distilled at the Yoichi distillery, underwent a 6-month maturation in apple brandy casks. It is bottled at 47% ABV.
