Aromas of smoke, oranges, tropical fruits, berries, with a subtle earthiness and mineral undertones. The palate is minty, fruity, and spicy, with smoke, earth, strawberry, minerals, and pepper. It concludes with charred bitter citrus rinds and ash. Pleasant.

About this bottle
This mezcal originates from the Mexican state of Puebla, a region recently recognized for mezcal production. It is crafted from 100% Tobalá agaves, known locally as Cenizo. The agaves are cooked for three days in a pit lined with lava rock, then mechanically milled and fermented for an additional five days. Mezcalero Don Aaron Alba, a fourth-generation producer, double-distills the mezcal in copper pot-stills. The agaves are certified organic and fair trade.

Nose of vanilla, floral notes, and apple cider with a medium smoke. Palate is vegetal/floral and spicy. A touch of saltiness detected.
This is too murky for my taste. Extremely vegetal.
Fruity notes with touches of cinnamon and raisin.
