Miel de Tierra mezcals originate from Zacatecas, a Mexican state located significantly north of Oaxaca, the primary mezcal production region. The brand aims to offer more refined and earthy flavor profiles compared to the typically smoky and untamed varieties from the south. Notably, Miel de Tierra Joven Agave Salmiana is unique in its portfolio as it uses agaves from outside the distillery's home region; the wild Salmiana agave is sourced from the San Luis Potosi area to the east. While most of their mezcals are aged in local virgin oak, this joven expression is unaged.
