Method And Madness Oats & Malt

I usually assign flavor tags, but for this spirit, I can only describe it as spicy; everything else is muted. The label lists many characteristics, but I couldn't detect any. The 46% ABV likely contributes to the spiciness I sensed, but nothing else. I'm both angry and sad because this nearly tasteless spirit was expensive for me, and I bought two bottles, even gifting one to my brother. It was a terrible present. Method and Madness (M&M) originates from a Middleton micro distillery. I hadn't tried their products before, but it appears this is a (failed) experimental batch. Fortunately, it's a limited edition. Plain Jameson, also from Middleton, offers significantly more flavor than this. To be clear, the taste isn't bad, but it's also not good due to its absence. I do not recommend it, especially considering the price I paid (€98 in March 2023).
