About this bottle
Mayenda, a 100% blue Weber agave tequila brand with no additives, is now part of the Campari Group. Maestro Tequilero Jesus Susunaga and his team at Casa San Nicolás in Jalisco employ two distinctive production methods for this brand. The base distillate is infused with both roasted piñas (the core of the agave) and the agave miel, or "honey," from the cooking phase prior to roasting, before being distilled in copper pot stills. Following this, it is aged for 6 months in a mix of American and European oak barrels. The tequila is bottled at 40% ABV and is scheduled for release in the U.S. and Mexico in June 2024, with a suggested retail price of $75.
