Fortaleza Reposado Winter Blend 2024

This Winter Blend seems even more difficult to find than last year's, which was somewhat disappointing. I anticipated being let down. From the start, the nose was impressive, offering delightful scents of whipped cream, berries, and agave, with no hint of alcohol. The creaminess persisted on the palate, which felt light and airy, with a touch of sweetness. This is the most distinctive of the four Winter Blends I've sampled, and potentially the finest. In a way, the absence of disappointment is slightly disheartening, as I wish the Fortaleza buzz would end already.

My preferred winter release. Brilliant with cooked agave, cantaloupes, lemon meringue pie, key lime pie, star anise, ginger, cinnamon, Christmas cakes, sultanas, almonds, raisins, golden syrup, plums, dates, and apricots.
