Manly Spirits Zesty Limoncello

Appearance: Clear with a slight haze. Very pale cream-yellow. Minimal small particles floating. Aroma: Faint fragrant lemonade with a hint of herbs. Less strong and oily than typical limoncello. Flavor and Texture: A thick liquid with a mild, sweet lemon taste. A subtle complexity that enhances but doesn't overpower the lemon notes. There's a slight sharpness in the finish. This is a pleasant, modern limoncello with a bright taste, just as advertised. It's not as heavy as most Italian limoncello (which can sometimes seem close to being too oily). This one always stays light and sweet. The makers state they use only hand-peeled lemon rind for this liqueur and add lemon aspen and lemon myrtle leaves for a fresh herbal touch. I suspect they also add some fresh lemon juice to the mixture after steeping is complete – it creates a flavor more like lemonade, and I detect that here.
