Belle de Brillet

A dry, ripe pear aroma with a robust eau-de-vie character. Initially, the mouthfeel is somewhat sweet and liqueur-like, the pear essence is very apparent, while the substantial Cognac flavor holds its own. A delightful surprise is the vanilla bean that emerges in the finish, leaving a warm, creamy dessert sensation on the tongue. This is an excellent liqueur to conclude a meal. Consider pairing it with crème brûlée, brie, or alongside a pear tart.

For those familiar with Grand Marnier, this is the pear counterpart. The essence of Williams pears infused with Brillet cognac. They use approximately 20 pounds of pears per 750ml bottle. One memorable occasion involved my wife preparing pear crisp with vanilla ice cream and a snifter of Belle de Brillet. So delicious!

Exceptional neat or in a mixed drink. Notes of pear mingle with vanilla, caramel, maple, red apple, fig, and raisin. It's sweet but not cloying, akin to pleasant floral honey. Subtle hints of clove and anise provide structure. Delicious.
