About this bottle
Lost Spirits, a California-based company, has gained industry recognition for its proprietary rapid spirit aging technology, with the Colonial-American Inspired Rum serving as their foundational product. This is the first rum created using their patented maturation process, which employs heat, light, and charred wooden blocks to achieve the equivalent of two decades of barrel aging within a week. While other distilleries are now licensing this maturation technique, the Colonial American Inspired rum remains the prototype that validated its effectiveness. The 'Colonial Inspired' aspect of the name should not be overemphasized; while rum was made in colonial America, its quality was generally low, and the label itself notes, 'This probably tastes a lot better than colonial rum did.' Production is extremely limited, with only a few hundred bottles made and sold exclusively through Bounty Hunter Rare Wine & Spirits, commanding a significant premium over other Lost Spirits rums.
