This Larga Vida XO Rum 2019 Edition is a refined, "sourced Dark Rum" that spent at least 15 to 24 years in oak, then finished in Ex-Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sherry barrels. Ten tropical rums from ten nations (Barbados, Dominican Republic, Guadalupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Jamaica, Mauritius, Panama, Trinidad, and Colombia) were selected and combined by Flaviar. Its scent starts with tropical fruits, nuts, and spices. The complex body brings flavors of dates, honeycomb, fried banana, vanilla, cinnamon, citrus, oak, and nuts, finishing with a lengthy, even profile hinting at molasses, smoke, and Cognac. Absolutely adore this. Period. Superb. Starts with dark berries (plum) that swiftly evolves into toffee, butterscotch, and a chocolatey caramel. After I figured out the connection, all that came through was Rolo candy. Moderately thick and completely enjoyable. Sugary yet crisp and intricate. You can discern the many elements present. Regardless of your preference, the quality is undeniable.

Remarkably smooth, with minimal bite and hints of vanilla and honeycomb.

Loads of honey notes. It's quite sweet and extremely easy to drink.
