Lapponia Lakka 0.5L bottle, opened years ago with less than half remaining. Oxidation seems likely, even with proper storage. Appearance - Amber hue, thick and oily with very long legs. Smell - Intensely sweet, rich, with almond and fruit notes, hints of peach. Very subtle alcohol presence (21% ABV) and maybe some spice. Taste - Less oily than expected, and not as rich or sweet as the aroma suggested. It's light, still sweet, with peach, mulberry, and nut flavors. A faint tingly effervescence and slight dryness at the start, followed by prominent apricot in the middle. Aftertaste - Lingers for a moderate time, becoming more oily and honeyed. The berry notes persist; I'd guess cloudberries, though I haven't tasted them fresh and this is an educated guess. A pleasant and distinctive liqueur. Not an everyday drink, but enjoyable.

I haven't tasted fresh cloudberries before, but this is delicious. It has a flavor reminiscent of mild raspberry and white currant. Excellent served on ice after a satisfying meal.
