About this bottle
Jean-Sebastien Robicquet, an oenologist and distiller, developed the La Quintinye Vermouth Royal brand. It uses Pineau des Charentes, a wine-based aperitif from grape must and cognac eaux-de vie. The Extra Dry variant combines white wine and white Pineau des Charentes with 27 botanicals; it contains no artificial coloring. The brand honors Jean-Baptiste de la Quintinye, King Louis XIV's botanist responsible for the Palace of Versailles' Kitchen Gardens.
