About this bottle

Master distiller Yves Kübler, the founder's great-grandson, crafts Kübler Absinthe. Its formulation dates to 1863 and includes nine botanicals, notably grande wormwood (Artemisia Absinthium) from Val-de-Travers, Switzerland, where the absinthe is made. Kübler was one of two absinthe brands introduced to the US in 2007 following the ban's repeal.

Lamar Oakley 5.0

Light licorice and floral notes on the nose. Bursts in the mouth with anise, spicy and bitter/astringent herbs, eucalyptus, mint, and alcohol carries all that from the tongue up through the nose. Thick mouthfeel and licorice sweetness lingers for a long time. Clear liquid, turns cloudy with water. A beautiful and robust absinthe for any purpose, especially in classic cocktails. If you don't mind that it's not green, this is the absinthe to get.

It's got layers of sweetness and herbs. I'd choose this over pastis.
