The rye contributes a sharp aroma, but the nose is still predominantly agave. On the palate, agave sweetness is met with a smooth, almost creamy texture. It's very much like a well-aged tequila. After about thirty seconds, the rye spice emerges, adding a lively and spirited kick to the tequila. The lengthy finish concludes with a dry, slightly tannic sensation. A complete triumph in an innovative barrel aging. Highly recommended.
