Terence Pickett 3.8

A 375ml bottle purchased for $20. Tasted at room temperature, neat. It appears clear in the glass with minimal legs. The nose is distinctly grassy with pear essence, sweet and floral, lacking any ethanol notes. Pear and ethanol are prominent on the palate initially. Underlying flavors include mineral, green apple, a hint of anise, and musty earthiness, with a touch of bitterness. It has a bracing quality. The finish is quite long, featuring a bitter-sweet profile, earthy notes, white pepper, and a sharp sensation, with anise and sourness lingering for over a minute. It's important to remember this is an Eau de Vie, not a sweetened pear liqueur. When tasted chilled, the flavor profile remained similar, though the earthiness and anise diminished, becoming more mineral-forward. I plan to experiment with its use in cocktails.
