About this bottle

Clear Creek Distillery, based in Portland, Oregon, uses Williams (also known as Bartlett) pears sourced from the nearby Hood River Valley for this brandy. The whole pears are crushed and fermented before being distilled in pot stills. Approximately thirty pounds of pears are required to produce one 750ml bottle, according to the distillery. The spirit is bottled without aging in barrels. It is offered in 750ml, 375ml, and 50ml sizes, as well as in pricier bottles containing a whole pear.

Clear, pale yellow with high viscosity; clean, medium intensity, unaged, with notes of candied pear, jasmine, thyme, and baked yellow apple; dry, with warming alcohol, full-bodied, intense, and a long finish featuring apricot, pear, and candied peach; considered very good quality due to its intensity and distinctiveness.
