I'm still new to mezcal, getting accustomed to the smoky flavor. My only comparisons are Sombra and Casamigos. This is certainly smoother and simpler for me to drink, though it comes with the highest cost. I found a bottle on promotion for 100 Canadian dollars. Mezcal has an aroma and taste I can't really liken to anything else globally. It kind of seems like the scotch of agave; I favor scotch in the cold months. This has that kind of cozy sensation, I want to savor it by a wood fire.

About this bottle
This mezcal is made from wild tobalá agaves by Master Mescalero Pedro Hernández. The agaves are roasted using red oak and mesquite before being crushed by a horse-drawn tahona. Natural fermentation occurs in open pine vats, followed by double distillation in a copper pot still. It is bottled at proof.
