About this bottle

Herencia Mexicana Reposado Tequila originates from what is claimed to be the highest elevation distillery in Jalisco, located at 6,200 feet. This high altitude influences lower distilling temperatures due to atmospheric pressure and results in longer agave growing cycles. The tequila is roasted in traditional brick ovens, distilled in traditional copper pot stills, and then aged in ex-bourbon barrels.

Brooklyn Trahan 4.0

An elegant Agave Spirit from Destilería La Fortuna in Arandas County, Jalisco, Mexico. It is double distilled and aged for 9 months in ex-bourbon barrels. It presents an aromatic profile with agave, wood, fruits, herbs, and spices; its rich character adds notes of grapefruit, caramel, lime, roasted agave, and a hint of butter; its rich and spicy development includes a touch of chili, leading to a long finish with notes of spicy oak and white pepper. Maude Iglesias 4.3

Pale gold color. Herbaceous, spicy, with mild oak notes. Sweet, chocolate, and creamy. Quite smooth, with a gentle burn and a creamy finish. A pleasant, subtle variation on the Blanco.

Quentin Jeffries 3.5

Very floral and cherry aroma with some pepper; palate of corn, vanilla, and honey; somewhat thick; a little heat; finish of corn and honey.
