About this bottle

Dorćol Distilling Co., established in San Antonio in 2013 by college friends Chris Mobley and Boyan Kalusevic, produces Kinsman Apricot Rakia. This unaged brandy, pronounced "door-chol," is crafted from Serbian apricots that have been pitted and de-stemmed. Following a double distillation in a custom 400 L. copper pot-still with direct flame from Belgrade, the brandy is chill-filtered and bottled at 42% ABV.

Garret Rosenthal 3.8

Authentic fruit brandy from the rakia tradition. Highly commendable, especially originating from San Antonio, TX. It's excellent for sipping straight, with ice, as a shot, or incorporated into cocktails like Sidecar and Sour variations.

Alena Herrick 2.0

Served neat, it has a sharp quality, like overripe apricots. The alcohol aroma is strongly sharp. You get the apricot sharpness followed by a whiff of ethanol. Very pungent, very sharp.

Joni Witherspoon 5.0

Bright, rich notes of stone fruit lead to a smooth conclusion. The flavor is clean and distinct. Excellent served neat or in mixed drinks, particularly those with citrus.

Luis Dominguez 5.0

Intense apricot flavor with floral undertones on the nose and palate. It evokes eating apricots in a meadow. No harsh burn. A personal favorite.
