About this bottle
This expression combines Irish whiskey and bourbon, similar to the standard bottling. Specifically, it is a blend of triple-distilled pot still Irish whiskey and Irish grain whiskey, both aged over four years in refill bourbon barrels, along with bourbon made with 76% corn that was aged over four years in virgin charred oak barrels. Brian Nation, formerly Master Distiller for Jameson, Redbreast, and Midleton Irish Whiskeys, created this blend. Keeper's Heart Irish + Bourbon Cask Strength is scheduled for release in summer 2023. Very good cask strength. A tiny bit of water helps release the flavor. Smooth to drink, nice finish.
Lots of flavor, much more than the standard bourbon. Sadly, it was overwhelming for me.
Caramel. Sweet. Honey. Playful.
