An elegant agave spirit from NOM 1122. It begins aromatically with notes of agave, earth, wood, fruits, herbs, and spices. A rich and zesty middle adds toasted agave, caramel, and orange rind, leading to a complex, medium-length finish. Sampled May 2017.

The aroma has grassy, herbal notes that develop into vanilla after a minute or two, with some plaster-like character. Sugared almonds are the dominant aroma on the first sip. It has a pleasant herbal finish. Quite nice and quite original. It adds a distinct and lovely vanilla note to a margarita.
It's really good and only $36. It's comparable to Don Julio and Patron.
