About this bottle
Guillon-Painturaud, a family-owned cognac grower-producer, has had its estate in the family since 1610. The brand stopped selling to large cognac houses in the 1970s and has since bottled its cognac under its own name, a practice that was revolutionary at the time and remains very uncommon in the region. After fermentation, the wine, made from estate-grown ugni blanc, is distilled unfiltered. The resulting eau-de-vie matures in custom French oak barrels from the Limousin and Tronçais forests. The brand's VSOP is aged an average of 15 years, significantly longer than the 4-year minimum for the category. No additives are included before bottling at 80 proof.

A light cognac, very fruity with abundant orange and mango, complemented by some honey and toffee. Minimal oak or wood influence is present, making it a very easy cognac to savor.
A light yet vibrant fruity aroma, a fruit explosion upfront followed by notes of vanilla, then spice. A pleasant finish lingers with apricot notes.
Not very good. It's somewhat smooth but excessively sweet, tasting almost like liquid candy sprinkles.
A boozy aroma of white grapes, with a very fruity body.
Reminiscent of sherry, with a gentle sweetness.
